Our client, a market leading supplier of fire rated and specialist glass are now recruiting for a Branch Manager for their West Midlands depot. The main function of this role is to effectively manage and run all operational functions within the branch, taking full responsibility for all customer deliveries and ensuring that goods reach their destinations safely, on time and in the most cost-effective way. Other duties include communicating with customers regarding the timescale for their deliveries and ensuring customers are kept up to date at all times. You will oversee, plan and coordinate the transport fleet and staff in terms of distribution and delivery including routes and schedules.

You must ensure full compliance with Health and Safety regulations, ensuring that all company policies and procedures relating to transport operations and transport staff (including agency drivers) are adhered to and take remedial action where necessary. This includes company transport policies and procedures and relevant legislation including safety, controls on fuel, emissions and driver hours.
