Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking for a new role within the Window and Door Industry?

We are working with a well-recognised and highly successful Material Manufacturer who fabricate a specialist product, sold into Window and Door Fabricators / Profile Houses / Retail Installation business’ in the UK. They have invested in the specialist machinery and techniques to be able to produce this product at speed, whilst maintaining high quality and have customers up and down the UK.

The are looking to add a Business Development Manager to their team to continue to achieve their yearly growth ambitions

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Develop, nurture, and grow existing customer account value to drive sales turnover and increase revenue year on year
  • Progressing sales using the full spectrum of sales activities, including face to face meetings, cold calling and virtual meetings.
  • Attend customers premises to promote our products and grow opportunities, progressing sales using the full spectrum of sales activities.
  • Act as a point of contact, ensuring queries are responded to in line with company timeframes and processes, ensuring the standard operating procedures are followed to successfully complete the sales process.
  • Reach out to and follow up with new customers to identify viable sales opportunities, to generate and complete sale leads, promoting the companies’ values and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Use existing sales best practice to monitor the market, understand the competition and know how to continuously create a distinguished competitive edge.
  • Use existing and developed sales knowledge and expertise to convey the overall business goals and priorities into tangible sales results.
  • To effectively communicate both internally and externally, promoting and advocating the brand at every opportunity, evaluating the customer’s needs to build productive long-lasting relationships.


Requirements and skills

  • Proven sales experience and track record of meeting your KPI requirements and exceeding sales targets.
  • Computer and CRM literate with an ability to complete and maintain company records in a timely manner.
  • Able to gain acceptance, motivate, persuade, and engage audiences in agreed course of action where there may be significant barriers to overcome, including the up selling of new products.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrable passion and engagement with the ability to communicate in an understandable form to a variety of audiences (e.g. Company directors, buyers, sales team, customers and prospects).
  • Ideally from a manufacturing sales background with experience with in the following sectors; fenestration, plastic extrusions, aluminum building products / aluminum window and door fabricator sector or similar.
