Powder Coating Production Manager

Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working with a industry leading fenestration business who are looking to recruit a Production Manager within their Powder Coating division. 

Our client has gone from strength to strength over the years to become a reputable nationwide fenestration systems house developing commercial and domestic products to meet the ever-changing needs of the modern customer. 

The right candidate for this position will have current or recent experience as a powder coating production manager within a commutable distance to Birmingham. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the powder coating activity. Fully accountable for scheduling, resource planning and controlling all the steps in the supply and transportation process to ensure our products are delivered on time and within the budget, whilst managing the respective teams meet the companies’ objectives.

Role responsibilities: 

• Ensure health and safety for all staff
• Plan and organise resources to meet customer requirements
• Develop, monitor and control KPIs
• Manage absence in accordance with company requirements
• Support and drive continuous improvement activities to optimize quality, service and costs, equipment and processes
• Leadership and management of effective teams, maintain moral and mange performance
• Create and deploy appropriate training to new starters and refreshers on Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) when required
• Manage performance concerns within teams
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

Candidates’ skills & experience:

• Have current or recent experience working as a Production Manager in powder coating, paint praying or metal finishing 
• Working knowledge of supply chain process and stock management
• Have a continuous improvement mindset
• Strong leadership, organisational and decision making skills
• Computer literate
• Strong knowledge of shop floor health & safety and safe working practices
• Must currently reside in the UK
