We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Processing Manager based in the West Midlands.
The role will involve running the front office for a local well respected window and door manufacturer who supply directly to trade customers. Based in the West Midlands and working from their factory head office, you will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are processed and manufactured correctly in line with lead times and the customer's requirements. This will include checking information supplied to them by their customers, ensuring that all the relevant details are present and correct from which to price and process the order using their bespoke computer system and then overseeing the orders through the manufacturing and dispatch process. This will include purchasing profile and components, compiling schedules and cutting lists, co-ordinating a small team of dedicated fabricators, quality control and dispatch.
Applicants should have a technical understanding of the manufacturing process in relation to uPVC windows and doors and be familiar with front office processes including the use of computerised systems. You should have an eye for detail and be able to identify potential issues with orders before they are manufactured with good planning and commercial skills. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and communicate information to customers and suppliers over the phone, face to face and through e-mail will also be required. If you have previous fabricating experience using modern CNC machinery this would be highly desirable and the successful person will be a good team player with the ability to lead and motivate a small team.
This is a chance to work for a small and professional manufacturing business in a friendly and well-structured environment. The working hours are Mon-Fri from 7:30am - 5pm although some flexibility may be needed from time to time and is offered on a permanent contract. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and support and training can be provided. However, a willingness to learn and take on board standard working procedures will be required.
