A highly respected manufacturer and supplier of premium conservatory systems to fabricators and installers across the UK, has an exciting opportunity for a Field Technical Support Engineer to join their Conservatory Department.
This is a national role where you will be responsible for technical support and training of new and existing customers, assisting with factory layouts and giving advice to help maximise fabricators production. You will be involved in assisting and maintaining the internal manufacturing facility for the purpose of R&D, producing test samples and working with suppliers to provide solutions to customers and training. You will also be required to visit customers on site, offer training, conducting regular manufacturing audits and offering effective problem solving.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of conservatory products and market intelligence, an excellent understanding of window and conservatory systems, fabrication machinery setup and experience of performance testing. You must also have good working knowledge of production related software (business micros/first degree) and a willingness to provide a high level of customer support. As an excellent communicator, you must be able to create relationships with colleagues and customers, have the ability to manage time effectively and write reports and technical documents to support findings within required deadlines.
You must be detail oriented and have a methodical approach to problem solving, be comfortable in a fast paced business with ability to multitask and work under pressure with positive attitude. Further to this you must have a full UK driving licence and good IT skills.
