Account & Procurement Coordinator – Windows & Doors

The Company

Our client is a well-established and growing supplier within the fenestration industry, specialising in the supply of high-quality uPVC and aluminium windows and doors to commercial, trade, and local authority customers.

Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an Account & Procurement Coordinator to support the management of a key local authority account while assisting with procurement, order processing, customer service, and administration activities.

The Role

This is a varied and fast-paced office-based position that combines account management support, procurement coordination, order processing, and customer service responsibilities.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for a local authority client, ensuring orders are processed accurately, suppliers are effectively managed, and projects progress smoothly from initial order through to delivery and completion.

This opportunity would suit an organised and proactive individual with strong administration skills and experience within the windows and doors, fenestration, glazing, construction, or manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a key local authority customer account.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Input, maintain, and update data across internal systems and databases.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Assist with procurement and purchasing activities.
  • Coordinate deliveries and provide customers with regular order updates.
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and order information.
  • Support internal departments including Sales, Operations, and Logistics.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with supplier coordination.
  • Resolve customer queries and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within an Administration, Account Coordination, Procurement, Customer Service, or Order Processing role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and order information.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM or order processing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional, proactive, and customer-focused approach.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within the fenestration, windows and doors, glazing, or construction industry.
  • Experience working with local authority or social housing contracts.
  • Knowledge of uPVC and aluminium window and door products.
  • Experience using procurement, ERP, CRM, or order processing systems.
  • Understanding of supply chain, purchasing, or manufacturing processes.
