Overview
This is a field-based Area Sales Manager position responsible for developing and managing sales across a well-established and growing territory.
The role focuses on selling into fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and specialist door producers, providing technical solutions and supporting long-term account growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share, strengthening existing relationships, and driving new business within the fenestration and door manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- • Manage and develop sales across the North Yorkshire to Scotland region.
- • Build and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and trade customers.
- • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the sector.
- • Develop and grow existing accounts through regular contact and structured account planning.
- • Provide technical product support and assist customers with specification requirements.
- • Work closely with internal teams including Estimating, Customer Service, and Production to ensure smooth order progression.
- • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- • Achieve agreed sales targets, margin objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and territory planning.
Candidate Profile
- • Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager or field-based technical sales role.
- • Strong background within fenestration, doors, windows, building products, or fabrication.
- • Experience selling into fabricators or manufacturers is highly desirable.
- • Strong technical understanding of composite door systems or related products would be advantageous.
- • Confident managing a large geographical territory autonomously.
- • Strong commercial awareness with a consultative sales approach.
- • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- • Self-driven, organised, and target-focused.
- • Full UK driving licence required.
