Role responsibilities:

• Setting and executing the technical strategy, aligning with wider organisational goals.
• Leading the production of cutting-edge technical publications, datasheets, and expert guidance.
• Representing the organisation at high-profile conferences, technical committees, and working groups.
• Driving commercial growth through technical consultancy, training, and member engagement.
• Managing and mentoring a high-performing technical team, creating an inspiring and productive culture.
• Responding to complex technical issues, offering insight that shapes national standards and consumer trust.

Candidates’ skills & experience:

• Significant experience in the glass and fenestration sector (commercial and domestic).
• Proven leadership in technical or engineering roles—ideally with cross-sector or policy exposure.
• Exceptional communication skills, from public speaking to detailed technical writing.
• Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to represent at senior levels (government, industry boards, etc.).
• Experience managing budgets and identifying revenue opportunities.
