Junior Estimator

We are looking to recruit a Junior Sales Estimator to join a growing and supportive team. This role would suit someone looking to develop their career within estimating and sales support, ideally within construction or a related technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Quotation & Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and produce professional quotations based on client specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Research & Procurement: Source up-to-date pricing for materials, labour, and transport. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive and accurate costs.
• Client & Internal Communication: Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and work closely with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure smooth handover of information.
• Project Support: Assist with tenders and bids, prepare supporting documentation, and occasionally visit sites to gain a better understanding of project scope and requirements.
• Record Keeping & Cost Control:Maintain detailed records of estimates and quotations, supporting cost tracking to ensure projects remain commercially viable.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in estimating, sales support, or a similar role (construction or technical background preferred)
• Strong numerical and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team and manage multiple tasks
