Chase Taylor Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the window and door hardware industry to recruit an experienced Senior Quality & Process Control Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused engineer to join a manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in improving processes, maintaining product standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations.
You will work closely with production teams, engineering functions, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to identify quality issues, implement effective solutions, and enhance both product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
Role Overview
The role focuses on quality assurance, process control, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for identifying quality challenges, analysing root causes, and implementing robust corrective and preventative actions to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead quality improvement activities across manufacturing processesInvestigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)Apply structured problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, root cause analysis)Develop and maintain quality documentation, control plans, and process standardsSupport internal and external audits, inspections, and CI initiativesAnalyse quality data to reduce defects, waste, and process variationSupport new product introductions and process development activitiesCollaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Experience & Skills Required
Previous experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Control within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of quality systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologiesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationExperience with quality tools including 8D, CAPA, SPC, MSA, and FMEAStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approachExperience within fenestration, window and door hardware, engineered components, or similar industries is advantageous
