Chase Taylor are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in commercial windows, doors, curtain walling, and façade systems.
An experienced Site Manager is required to take full responsibility for the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of on-site installation works across commercial building envelope projects.
You will ensure all site activities are delivered in line with approved drawings, specifications, contractual obligations, and industry standards. The role is central to driving right-first-time delivery, reducing defects, maintaining strong quality assurance controls, and ensuring effective site coordination throughout project delivery.
Working closely with Project Managers and subcontract installation teams, you will act as the key site lead responsible for day-to-day delivery, coordination, and assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Coordination
- Oversee all on-site installation activities across assigned projects
- Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Coordinate sequencing of works in accordance with project programmes
- Act as the main site-based contact for all operational mattersLiaise effectively with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and site personnel
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and company safety procedures
- Review and enforce CPPs, RAMS, lifting plans, access strategies, and temporary works
- Carry out regular site inspections and safety auditsMonitor welfare facilities, access systems, scaffolding, MEWPs, and material storage
- Challenge unsafe practices and stop works where required
Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Implement and manage QA systems across all installation works
- Ensure subcontractors complete and submit all QA documentation
- Review QA records for accuracy and complianceConduct physical inspections to verify workmanship standards
- Ensure works are signed off only when fully compliant
- Drive a right-first-time culture and minimise rework
Commercial & Progress Support
- Support valuation approval by ensuring works are completed and compliant
- Verify progress aligns with completed and approved installations
- Flag incomplete or non-compliant works to commercial teams
- Escalate quality issues through NCR processes where required
Subcontractor Management
- Manage and coordinate subcontract installation teams on site
- Ensure competency, resource levels, and compliance standards are maintained
- Monitor performance against safety, quality, and programme targets
- Address performance and compliance issues promptly and effectively
Defects & Non-Conformance Management
- Manage defects during construction and the Defects Liability Period
- Maintain defect and remedial action registers
- Raise and manage NCRs relating to workmanship or safety failures
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Reporting & Governance
- Produce accurate site reports covering progress, quality, safety, defects, and NCRs
- Maintain comprehensive site records and documentation
- Support project governance and commercial reporting processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- CSCS Gold Card (Supervisor or Advanced Craft)
- SMSTS certificationFirst Aid at Work
- Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualification
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification
- Strong knowledge of CDM RegulationsExperience managing site-based installation activities in commercial construction
- Background in windows, doors, curtain walling, or façade systemsStrong understanding of QA and inspection processes
Desirable
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management systemsKnowledge of façade testing and compliance standardsExperience managing multiple subcontract teams on large projects
