Night Shift Production Manager

About the Role

We are working with a leading manufacturer in the building products sector who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to oversee night shift operations at their Stoke-on-Trent site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a well-established business and play a pivotal role in driving performance, quality, and efficiency across the production function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of production staff during the night shift, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
• Drive continuous improvement across production processes, focusing on quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and company procedures at all times.
• Monitor production schedules, adjusting resources where necessary to meet demand.
• Provide training, coaching, and development for production staff.
• Report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with day-shift management to ensure smooth handovers and consistent operations.

About You

• Previous experience in a Production Manager or Shift Manager role within a manufacturing or related environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is desirable.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to health & safety and quality standards.
• Flexibility to work night shifts on a permanent basis.
